Location: Point Pleasant

Perform owner-side quality assurance oversight for Monarch’s construction program. The Project Quality Auditor conducts inspections, audits contractor quality systems, and verifies that installed work meets AIP’s engineering standards, specifications, and applicable codes.

This role is critical to ensuring long-term reliability and reducing rework risk across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute owner-side inspections and quality audits across site work, equipment installation, and electrical systems.
  • Review contractor QA/QC plans, inspection test plans, and turnover packages for completeness and compliance.
  • Document nonconformances and deficiencies; track corrective actions through closure and verify rework quality.
  • Witness critical tests (as appropriate) including electrical testing, pressure testing, and functional checks.
  • Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, and contractor teams to align acceptance criteria and punch list closure.
  • Maintain quality documentation, photo logs, and audit records suitable for long-term asset files.
  • Identify systemic quality trends and recommend process improvements to reduce recurrence.
  • Support readiness reviews for commissioning and turnover.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of QA/QC experience on power, industrial, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards relevant to electrical and mechanical installation.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to read drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (CWI, NICET, ISO auditing experience, or similar).Ability to work full-time on-site in Point Pleasant, WV.
