Quality Engineer

Position

Quality Engineer – Distribution Center (DC) – Morgantown, WV

Estimated salary: $70,000 annually (actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location).

Onsite at Owens & Minor distribution center in Morgantown, WV.

• Manage self in accordance with expected Leadership Qualities behaviors.
• Support solving challenging technical problems related to quality issues and technologies.
• Assist in developing and implementing new quality concepts, tools, and strategies to improve business practices.
• Actively participate in the initiation and closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), deviations, change controls, document management, and temperature monitoring.
• Ensure control of non‑conforming products at assigned DCs.
• Support new product launches for Owens & Minor.
• Drive continuous improvement by conducting procedure/process flow audits and failure‑mode/gap analysis.
• Provide QA oversight for repackaging, labeling protocols, product containment, and investigations at assigned DCs.
• Meet all training requirements and effectiveness criteria.
• Enhance department reputation by owning new requests and exploring value‑add opportunities.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of distribution quality metrics.
• Conduct employee training audits to ensure employees are trained and qualified on assigned tasks.
• Optimize relationships with management in Operations, Quality, Product Supply, and Distribution Network.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering or a science‑related field.
• Three (3) or more years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing or logistics.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) experience.
• Extensive knowledge of quality engineering/quality control principles; basic statistics preferred.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or logistics preferred.
• Knowledge of 21

  820, ISO
  13485 (plus).
• Basic understanding of Title
  21 Code of Federal Regulations and other applicable regulations.
• Experience with electronic Quality Management System.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Basic analytical capabilities, ability to evaluate reports, identify trends, and report findings to management.
• Ability to analyze and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions, with assistance from senior team members when needed.
