Job Title

Quality Control Analytical Chemist

Summary

A skilled-level position to provide chemical and instrumental analytical laboratory support for forest new product development, applications development, commercial, manufacturing and technical service. This includes analytical methods development, maintenance and operation of analytical instrumentation, accurate recording and timely reporting of results.

• Develop QC analytical methods to meet the needs of the business
• Perform analyses to qualify new raw materials and/or raw material suppliers
• Develop analytical methods and perform analyses to characterize new materials and products
• Develop and validate new and/or improved QC test methods to support products
• Perform analyses required for Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure analytical equipment is calibrated and maintained
• Assist laboratory technician and supervisor with complex analytical testing
• Support proactive quality and safety improvements
• Develop 5-year plan for instrument upgrades

The following are required for the role

• Bachelor's degree in a science field including chemical lab experience
• 5+ years' experience in a chemical industry QC laboratory
• Strong math, science and data analysis skills
• Test method development experience
• Must have good written and oral communication skills.

The Following Are Preferred For The Role

• M.S. or PhD in chemistry or related field

Base Pay Range: $79,000 - $116,050

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable.
