Brayman Construction Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a Full‑time position located in Hinton, WV at our Bluestone Dam Project.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 40‑50 hours per week with some variation based on project needs; travel to and work on construction sites may be required.
As a Quality Control Technician, you will perform quality control testing on our project and collaborate daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers to plan and document the work performed.
Job Responsibilities- Perform chemical and physical tests according to ASTM standards
- Collect all material samples necessary to ensure quality control
- Test concrete cylinders and cubes
- Audit lab equipment regularly, troubleshoot and perform maintenance tasks, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Keep detailed notes of placement activities
- Conduct strength testing of samples in a controlled laboratory
- Communicate with project owners and represent Brayman with the owner's inspectors
- Assist Project QC staff and project supervision
- Experience in the construction industry (heavy civil, foundation, or steel erection contractor preferred)
- Experience as a quality control technician is preferred, but not required
- Willingness to attain ACI certifications including Aggregate, Concrete Field and Lab, and Strength Testing Technician
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, obtain samples in all weather conditions, perform heavy lifting, and stand for extended periods
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and recognize opportunities for improvement
- Willingness to accept responsibility and adapt to change
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards. The position may require working around heavy equipment, at night, and on weekends as needed, and will be subject to stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with federal contracting.
