An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Quality Coordinator to join our Process team here at Yorkshire Baker.
Reporting into the Process Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the process quality function across new and existing products, ensuring that food safety, quality, legal and customer requirements are successfully delivered from concept through to launch and maintained throughout the product lifecycle
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Attendance at Concept to Process Handover meetings & ensure all quality requirements are clearly defined & communicated
- Manage and support the Process Quality Lead team, providing direction, coaching and guidance to ensure product quality standards established at launch are maintained throughout the product lifecycle
- To create the draft Finished Product Quality Contract & ensure accurate handover of quality requirements to Operations teams
- Build Product File and ensure all required information present ahead of Finalise seal mtg
- To complete Organoleptic profiling of each new product and establish benchmark standards
- To establish cooking instructions (including validations) of all new products ensuring they meet the expected food Safety and Quality stds
- To arrange and coordinate factory and customer and retention freeze sampling as required
- Ensure packaging for new and existing product launches is suitable and maintains product quality, integrity and shelf life
- Deputise for the Process Manager/Process Quality Lead when required
Candidate requirements:
- Ability to analyse, manage risks and make informed decisions
- Attention to detail and confident in challenging standards and escalating concerns when necessary
- Competent user of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Word and Power Point
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality management systems and regulatory requirements within a food production environment
- Resilient and adaptable when dealing with changing business requirements
- Experience of managing performance, setting objectives and driving accountability
- Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting
