An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Process Quality Leads to join our Process team here at Yorkshire Baker, working 4 on, 4 off.
Reporting into the Process Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating process quality activities across Cranswick Yorkshire Baker, ensuring all products are manufactured in compliance with food safety, legal, customer and quality requirements
Main duties include (but not limited to):- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, driving process compliance, investigating quality issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and acting as a key link between teams
- Quality panel completion
- Assist in validation & verification activities for new products, process changes & continuous improvement projects
- Organoleptic panels
- Support the development of a stronger Food Safety & Quality Culture
- Pick-outs and Bostwick testing
- Escalation of quality concerns
- Product sampling
- Investigate quality deviations
- Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative
- Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures.
- Attention to detail and confident in challenging standards and escalating concerns when necessary
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality management systems and regulatory requirements within a food production environment
- Experience conducting quality assessments, product evaluations and process verification activities
- Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting
