Continued investment into innovation, talent and category expansion has created the need to strengthen the flavour creation team through the appointment of an experienced Sweet Flavorist.

The company is currently seeking an experienced and innovative Sweet Flavorist to join its North American flavour creation team. The position will play a key role in the development and optimisation of sweet flavour profiles across a broad range of applications, supporting both existing customer programmes and new business development initiatives. The role requires a highly creative and technically capable flavourist who is comfortable operating within a customer‑facing environment and collaborating closely with applications, sales, marketing and commercial teams.

The successful individual will contribute to flavour development projects from concept through to commercialisation, whilst also supporting flavour matching, reformulation and optimisation activities. This position offers the opportunity to join a highly respected international flavour house with strong long‑term investment into innovation, technology and category growth.

• Develop innovative sweet flavour solutions across multiple application categories in line with customer briefs and market trends.
• Work closely with applications, commercial and category teams to support customer development projects.
• Create, modify and optimise flavour formulations to meet performance, regulatory and cost objectives.
• Conduct flavour matching and reformulation projects where required.
• Maintain detailed formulation records and technical documentation.
• Provide technical expertise and support during customer presentations and project discussions.
• Support scale‑up and commercialisation activities in collaboration with production and operations teams.
• Keep up to date with emerging consumer trends, ingredient technologies and competitive market activity.
• Ensure all flavour development work aligns with relevant regulatory and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively within the wider flavour creation and innovation teams.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven industry experience within flavour creation, specifically focused on sweet flavour development.
• Strong understanding of flavour raw materials, flavour technologies and manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated expertise across sweet applications such as beverages, confectionery, bakery, dairy or related categories.
• Strong flavour tasting and sensory evaluation capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively within a fast‑paced customer‑driven environment.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance creativity, functionality and cost considerations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams.
• Familiarity with relevant North American flavour and food regulations.
• Open‑minded, creative and passionate about flavour innovation and continuous learning.
