Lead Scientist

• Develop and validate quantitative and/or immunogenicity assays for studies conducted in the Bioanalytical Laboratory in compliance with regulatory guidance.
• Design, perform, and evaluate method development and validation experiments supporting quantitative and/or immunogenicity assays.
• Manage scientists and laboratory personnel during method development and validation activities.
• Evaluate, summarize, and present analytical results and progress to Bioanalytical Laboratory management and clinical program teams as required.
• Serve as a bioanalytical subject matter expert to clinical operations program teams.
• Document laboratory activity in accordance with established procedures.
• Write, review, and approve Bioanalytical Laboratory reports.
• Assist in troubleshooting analytical problems encountered during sample analysis.
• Serve as a scientific/technical information resource for junior laboratory staff.
• Review data and associated documentation for scientific soundness and compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Write, review, and approve analytical methods and standard operating procedures within the Bioanalytical Laboratory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 7‑10 years of experience; a Doctorate with 6 years, a Masters with 8 years, or a Bachelor’s with 10 years is preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Proficient knowledge of techniques and instrumentation in quantitative bioanalysis and immunogenicity testing, including HPLC, mass spectrometry, ligand binding assays, laboratory automation, and sample preparation.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and analytical thinking.
• Working knowledge of common computer software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel) as well as instrument‑specific control and data acquisition software.
• Experience in supervising employees and conducting training, planning, and directing work in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents, write comprehensive reports, and communicate concepts to multidisciplinary groups.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, applying technical and mathematical concepts to complex computations.
• Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.

• Typical laboratory setting with intermittent sitting, standing, walking, and stooping.
• May require light lifting, handling of chemicals, solvents, fumes, gases, and routine exposure to human biological samples such as whole blood, plasma, and serum.
