Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Role Overview: Responsible for managing all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, customer service, and safety compliance. Ensures effective planning and implementation of store processes such as ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation.

• Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
• Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and address employee development or disciplinary actions.
• Manage store opening and closing routines, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Analyze business trends through operating statements to identify sales, profitability, and expense opportunities.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stock replenishment to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Maintain store security, cash handling integrity, and safety protocols.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and organized environment, and ensure safety for staff and shoppers.
• Adhere to company policies, complete required documentation, and ensure team compliance with operational procedures.

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Strong mathematical skills and cash handling procedures knowledge.
• Experience with inventory management, merchandising, and using cash registers for reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, hiring, counseling, and legal compliance.
• Organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience in retail is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, occasional climbing, and driving to various locations. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise and exposure to weather conditions at times.
