We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to take on the role of Director, Global Naval Sales. In this high‑impact position, you will oversee our worldwide Naval sales network, guiding regional teams and shaping our engagement strategy across key defence markets. A central part of your mission will be building and strengthening relationships with shipyards, navies, and governmental stakeholders, ensuring our solutions are aligned with customer needs and long‑term strategic priorities.
As the senior voice for Naval sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, expanding our global footprint, and positioning the business as a trusted partner within the defence sector. This is an opportunity to lead at a global scale, influence major customer programmes, and help define the future direction of our Naval business.
What you will be doing- Increasing revenue with present customers.
- Increasing revenue with new Customers
- Achieving an average margin in line with business expectations.
- Coordinate, train and develop the Naval Sales resources globally working with the regional VP’s to ensure that skills and customer contacts are developed and markets maximized.
- Working with the entire Global Sales teams to develop the necessary capabilities to increase revenue lines, for all Naval products.
- Working with internal resources to maximize profit and customer satisfaction.
- Develop, maintain and create new relations to end users (Navy and Coast Guards) and Governmental stakeholders.
- Proactive marketing of the Naval portfolio towards (prospective) Customers and Defence stakeholders with support from the Chief of Naval Systems and Business Development.
- Provide market intelligence and customer insight back into the business.
- Developing and executing innovative market approaches.
- Supporting creation of sales budget and targets.
- Sales and "Flag-work" in defined segment, towards customers, end-users and designers.
- Develop new business offering and options for the Customers.
- Communicate in a structured manner across the business the progress and development of tasks.
- Follow up on sales activities and project/campaign status.
- Drive profitable sales growth on current and new Customers within the product portfolio.
- Support Naval strategy work to align with market and customer requirements.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience in international sales within the defence, maritime, or naval sectors.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with shipyards, navies, and governmental stakeholders.
- Leadership experience within a global or matrixed organisation.
- Solid understanding of defence procurement processes and long‑term campaign development.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to travel internationally and operate effectively in culturally diverse environments.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a mandatory pre‑employment BPSS check and, where required for the role, obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
