British American Tobacco New Zealand – Trade Marketing Representative
The role of the Trade Marketing Representative (TMR) involves managing a designated geographical area, known as a patch. The job requires commercial business insight, planning skills, a focus on outcomes and energy with enthusiasm for success.
Key Responsibilities- Analysing, reporting and interpreting store‑specific data to drive growth.
- Acting as the point of reference for external partners by engaging in commercial conversations and negotiations.
- Building, encouraging and maintaining strong business partnerships with retailers.
- Responsibly educating retailers on product and category knowledge as well as trading terms.
- Ensuring execution of strategies and campaigns for all retailers within your patch.
- Meeting and exceeding performance targets.
- Continuously developing your skills to adapt to the changing industry and regulatory environment.
- Full New Zealand driver’s licence with a safe driving record and legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Fresh graduate from business or marketing is welcome.
- Prior working experience in any marketing field (Sales, TMR, Marketing) is welcome.
- A certificate, diploma, degree or prior experience in sales or marketing is desired.
- Strong selling, negotiation and objective handling skills.
- Customer‑focused approach and solutions‑driven mentality.
- The drive to be empowered, work independently and focus on results.
- A proven track record of building close working relationships with a diverse range of partners.
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
- Desire to be bold and fast, while acting responsibly as you grow and develop your career.
