Overview
The Solution Specialist will be responsible for the Screen & Centrifuge Lifecycle Service Line (Screen, Trommel, Centrifuge, and Wear consumables) within the region. The role includes identifying business opportunities, generating leads, fostering client relationships to meet or exceed sales goals, and supporting on-site installation assistance, inspections, and wear reports. Travel within the region is required to deliver technical expertise related to the Screen & Centrifuge Lifecycle Service Line.
Responsibilities- Manage customers and their consumables throughout the product life cycle.
- Complete audits and reporting on performance metrics.
- Develop product pathways across the entire product range.
- Assess customer needs and recommend the most suitable products/solutions.
- Identify and develop new business in the Eastern United States region.
- Provide feedback to the business regarding customer needs and market intelligence.
- Maintain opportunities in the CRM system.
- Monitor the industry for updates and changes in the product landscape.
- Perform health checks on customers sites, review data, and present feedback.
- Collaborate with product line, engineering, and sales teams across FLSmidth.
- Support development of marketing documents to communicate the primary benefits of solutions.
- Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Support the Proposal department on complex solutions when required.
- Good communication skills, written and spoken.
- Deep product and competitor knowledge to develop effective sales strategies and handle objections.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to customers in simple terms.
- Able to travel up to 75%, domestic and international.
- Physically able to climb onto structures and stairs in industrial plants and mines.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the mining/industrial industry.
- Specific experience with heavy industrial products and/or systems is a plus.
- Experience with screen media consumable products.
- Mechanical background, able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
