Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Security Officer 2s to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. What will you do?
  • Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary; provide cash escorts as needed.
  • Greet guests positively and timely, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the guest’s good will.
  • Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity.
  • Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor.
  • Maintain crowd control as required; defuse guest profanity to ensure a friendly environment.
More about you
  • Law enforcement or related experience, and a gaming background is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and drug test.
  • Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when handling guest complaints or issues.
  • No high school diploma or GED required.
Physical requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate through two way radio.
  • Bending, stooping, lifting and carrying occasionally.
  • Vision must be sufficient that the officer is not restricted in the performance of duties day or night.
  • Occasionally smoky and loud environment.
