Security Officer II​/EMT-B

Plant Guard

Sign on bonus offered: $2,000.

Starting hourly pay: $21.73 per hour, increasing every 6 months up to $25.75 per hour.

• Guest and telephone reception duties.
• Radio communications.
• Monitoring and operating electronic security equipment.
• Maintaining the access control system.
• Performing random perimeter checks and vehicle inspections.
• Authorizing security clearance for all visitors entering the plant.
• Performing surveillance duties and testifying regarding observations.
• Monitoring perimeter areas of the plant.
• Traffic control and monitoring of parking lots for parking/speed violations.
• Utilizing defensive and offensive site security and personnel protection systems and equipment as assigned.
• Serving on Plant Emergency Services Teams as determined by management.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified EMT‑B.
• Ability to pass a Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) background check.

• Knowledge of plant operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous law enforcement or security experience.
• Experience with a Department of Homeland Security or Coast Guard site.

• Compliance with and support of site safety initiatives.
• Ability to qualify and serve on Plant Emergency Services Teams.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including required overtime.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition.
• Ability to accept and implement change.
• Ability to use defensive and offensive site security and personnel protection systems and equipment.
• Physical fitness: stand for long periods, walk briskly 100 yards, run full stride 50 yards, climb ladders (short heights). Ability to work indoors/outdoors in varying weather.

• Union position.
• 90‑day probationary period.
• Rotating shifts with required overtime.
