Refuse Impoundment Supervisor (Full Time)

This position is located at Ohio County Coal Resources in Dallas, WV. We are seeking hard‑working, motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career with great potential.

• Ensure compliance with all state, federal regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of hourly employees.
• Communicate hazards and changes to oncoming shifts and properly convey information to management.
• Operate within a mine maintenance department supporting all surface equipment.
• Assist in the preventive maintenance program for the assigned area.
• Read and understand construction plans, topographic maps, and blueprints.
• Manage and ensure a safe working environment for company employees and contractors.
• Oversee dam inspections and instrumentation readings.
• Maintain haul roads appropriately.
• Follow all federal and state-approved construction plans, including push‑out, compaction, and grade/elevation maintenance.
• Complete inspections of belt lines, transfer points, pumps, collection ponds, impoundment pool level and water quality, drainage points, and slopes.

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

• MSHA Surface certification required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Construction or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment operation and mechanics.
• Experience with haul trucks (CAT 777 and 740), graders, and front‑end loaders.
• Underground training is not required.
• Knowledge of stockpile handling.
• Basic computer skills (Email, Excel, and Word).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Must obtain all applicable federal and state underground and surface certifications and complete industry‑approved training courses.
• Must pass a post‑offer drug test and background check.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required (subject to religious practices).
• Must work a rotating shift schedule (subject to religious practices).
• Work environment is on or above the surface.
• Must work at heights.
• Must lift floor‑to‑waist and waist‑to‑overhead, push/pull as needed, and perform heavy labor including lifting 50+ pounds.
• Physical capabilities include standing, bending, step climbing, crawling, and working overhead.
