Equipment Operator

Appalachian Aggregates, LLC, a CRH Company, operates in southern West Virginia and supplies stone for construction projects across the region.

This is a highly skilled position involving the operation in an open pit mine. Applicants must have experience operating equipment such as motor grader, bulldozer, excavator, and front end loader.

• Performs daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Safely and efficiently operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations.
• Other duties related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary basis as needed.
• Report any problems to your manager.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
• Must pass a pre‑employment “Fit to Work” physical.
• Must partner with other quarry employees as instructed by facility manager to ensure daily schedules are met.
• Attendance required according to attendance policy to ensure crew ability to operate at a normal efficiency level.
• Physical ability to operate equipment under extreme temperatures and for extended hours.
• Initiative to perform or assist with other positions for job completions.
• Attitude and cooperation: always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co‑workers, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to work various times during day, night, or weekend hours at various locations.
• Ability to follow MSHA/OSHA safety guidelines as well as those set forth by the company policy.
• Ability to follow instructions of supervisor or facility manager to adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
