Snyder Environmental Services LLC is seeking hardworking, dependable, and safety-focused individuals to join our Underground Utilities Construction Crew in Pennsylvania. We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators and utility crew members who take pride in quality workmanship and want to build a long-term career in the construction industry.
At Snyder Environmental Services, we work on a variety of underground utility and infrastructure projects, including water lines, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, grading, excavation, site development, and related utility construction services. Our crews work together in a fast-paced environment where safety, teamwork, professionalism, and reliability are critical.
Position Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, dozers, rollers, skid steers, loaders, and related construction equipment
- Assist with installation of underground utilities, including water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and gas systems
- Perform trenching, grading, excavation, and site preparation activities
- Read and understand grade stakes, utility layouts, and construction plans when applicable
- Assist crew members with labor tasks as needed
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and site-specific safety requirements
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, operators, laborers, and subcontractors to complete projects efficiently
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience required
- Underground utility construction experience strongly preferred
- Earthwork and grading experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, kneel, and perform physically demanding work
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and positive attitude required
- Valid driver's license required; CDL license is a plus
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight for out-of-town projects as needed
- Pre‑employment background screening and drug testing required
- Overtime opportunities available
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday daytime shifts; some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required
