Apprentice Technician
Dutch Miller Ford is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Technician to join our service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in automotive service while receiving hands-on training from experienced Ford-certified technicians.
The Apprentice Technician will assist in performing maintenance and repairs, learn dealership service procedures, and develop the skills necessary to become a certified automotive technician. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and passion for the automotive industry.

Essential duties and responsibilities include performing maintenance and repair work as assigned under the guidance of experienced technicians; learning dealership service processes and procedures; assisting with vehicle inspections and basic diagnostic procedures; test-driving vehicles with appropriate supervision when required; learning to use Ford diagnostic equipment, special service tools, and repair information systems; performing routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, battery testing, and multi-point inspections;
assisting in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, steering and suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and heating and air conditioning systems; communicating findings and repair needs to service advisors and team leaders; maintaining a clean and safe work area; following all manufacturer, dealership, and safety guidelines; completing assigned Ford training and certification requirements; and assisting with warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous automotive experience or technical training is a plus but not required; strong interest in automotive repair and technology; ability to learn quickly and follow instructions; positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team; strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time; and basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
