Refuse Impoundment Supervisor (Full Time)

• Ensure compliance with all state, federal regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of hourly employees.
• Communicate hazards/changes to oncoming shifts and to management.
• Position in a mine maintenance department supporting all surface equipment.
• Assist in the preventive maintenance program for the assigned area.
• Read and understand construction plans (topographic map/blueprints).
• Manage and ensure a safe working environment for company employees and contractors.
• Oversee dam inspections and instrumentation readings.
• Ensure haul roads are properly maintained.
• Follow all Federal and State approved construction plans, including push out, compaction, and maintaining grades and elevation per approved plan.
• Complete inspections of belt lines and all transfer points, pumps and collection ponds, impoundment pool level and water quality, drainage points, and slopes.

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

• MSHA Surface certification required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Construction or related experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of operating/mechanical equipment.
• Experience with haul trucks – CAT 777 and 740.
• Experience with graders.
• Experience with front‑end loader.
• Underground training is not required.
• Stockpile knowledge.
• Basic computer skills (Email, Excel, and Word).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications and successfully complete industry approved training courses.
• Must successfully pass a post‑offer drug test and background check.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices).
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule (subject to the applicant’s religious practices).
• Work environment is on or above the surface.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead.
• Ability to push/pull as needed.
• Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling, and working overhead.
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed.
