Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician Senior

At Williams, we’re powering a cleaner, more connected future. As an I&E Operations Technician Senior, you’ll work with a safety-focused team to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Mentoring teammates, solving sophisticated problems efficiently, and attention to detail are keys to success in this role.

• Perform complex maintenance and operational tasks on all natural gas process related equipment and systems.
• Minimize unplanned shutdowns through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Partner with supervisors and managers to share findings, root causes, and resolutions, focusing on improved safety.
• Fix and maintain process control systems.
• Collaborate with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry.
• Preferred:
  Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry.

• Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
• Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team‑lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
• Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat often for long periods.
• Work at elevated levels—man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers—using appropriate PPE.

• Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• May require overtime, 10–12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.

• Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated aptitude to embrace technology and applications for operational efficiency.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC skills.
• Experience in gas‑plant operations, gas compression, or liquid/gas gathering processes.
• Experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industry.
