Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician Senior
At Williams, we’re powering a cleaner, more connected future. As an I&E Operations Technician Senior, you’ll work with a safety-focused team to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Mentoring teammates, solving sophisticated problems efficiently, and attention to detail are keys to success in this role.
Responsibilities- Perform complex maintenance and operational tasks on all natural gas process related equipment and systems.
- Minimize unplanned shutdowns through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Partner with supervisors and managers to share findings, root causes, and resolutions, focusing on improved safety.
- Fix and maintain process control systems.
- Collaborate with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects.
- Required:
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry. - Preferred:
Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry.
- Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team‑lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat often for long periods.
- Work at elevated levels—man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers—using appropriate PPE.
- Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- May require overtime, 10–12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
- Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated aptitude to embrace technology and applications for operational efficiency.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC skills.
- Experience in gas‑plant operations, gas compression, or liquid/gas gathering processes.
- Experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industry.
