Belt Supervisor (Full Time)
Company: Ohio County Coal Resources, Inc.
Location: Dallas, WV
This position is located at Ohio County Coal Resources, in Dallas, WV. We are seeking hard-working, motivated individuals.

- Provides supervision to a crew of employees responsible for the installation and maintenance of all underground beltlines.
- Responsible for providing a safe work area.
- Performs visual safety inspections and reports potentially unsafe conditions to the appropriate mine personnel.
- Works closely with the Shift Foreman to follow the mine plan. Must also work closely with the Maintenance Supervisors in coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the beltlines.
- Responsible for teaching new employees the correct operating techniques of the equipment and proper safety habits while working underground.
- Holds employees accountable for the safe and productive performance of work duties.
- Minimum two (2) years coal mining experience
- Minimum one (1) year of production experience
- Excellent leadership and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of general mining practices, and State and Federal mining laws
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must possess current mine foreman or assistant mine foreman certification.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Previous proven underground supervisory experience - strong leadership ability
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to successfully complete industry approved training courses
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and the knowledge and ability to make decisions relative to safety, production, maintenance, and law
- State issued Underground Miner certification required
- State issued Underground Mine Foreman certification, preferred
- Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
- Must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug test and background check
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires (subject to applicants religious practices)
- Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule (subject to the applicants religious practices)
- Must be able to work in an underground mining environment
- Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
- Ability to push/pull as needed
- Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
- Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
