Core Drillers
- Coal Exploration Drilling

L J HUGHES & SONS, Inc. is seeking Core Drillers to join their team in Summersville, West Virginia. These professionals will operate truck-mounted rotary drilling rigs to obtain core samples for mining exploration, particularly for coal seams. The ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and able to supervise helpers while managing drilling operations in the field.

- Willingness to obtain CDL License within six months of hire
- Ability to drive standard transmission vehicles
- Ability to travel and stay away from home at least a week at a time
- Physical ability to lift, pull, push, and carry materials
- Ability to operate and maintain truck-mounted drilling rigs
- Record keeping skills for drilling operations
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug test
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
