Sr. Lead Developer

Job Summary

As an Engineering Lead for the application delivery team, you will lead a talented team of engineers (DEV & QA), demonstrate high technical acumen, solution design capability and strong hands‑on expertise in the development of technical solutions for complex business requirements. You will provide technical guidance, foster a collaborative and dynamic team culture, and ensure the successful development and delivery of high‑quality enterprise applications and systems.

• Deliver business value through application development and enhancements.
• Own and manage all phases of development: requirements gathering, technical specifications, design, architecture, implementation, unit testing, builds, deployments and code management.
• Evaluate, assess, plan and guide technical direction and architectural decisions.

• Mentor and guide the development team through design, estimation, development, and unit testing.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, lead best‑practice adoption, and drive continuous improvement in development processes.
• Inspire a positive and productive work culture, being a self‑starter and an excellent team player.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements and apply this knowledge to guide technology and methodology choices.
• Provide technical guidance, support professional development, and conduct regular performance reviews in partnership with delivery managers.

• Interface, collaborate and communicate effectively with business and cross‑functional/technical partners.
• Actively participate in PI, product and release planning.
• Collaborate effectively with onsite and offsite team members.

• Java J2EE and Spring technologies/frameworks (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Boot) and related tools.
• Hibernate, RESTful services, Spring JDBC, MVC.
• Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Spring framework, REST API, JPA.
• React.js, Webpack, Redux and Flux.
• User interface design.
• Unit testing frameworks such as Mocha and Jest.
• System architecture (N‑Tire, Microservices, Cloud‑native).
• System design principles for scalable, high‑performance, and extensible enterprise‑grade distributed systems.
• Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
• Oracle Web Logic, Tomcat – installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
• Spring Boot application configuration, deployment and troubleshooting on Oracle Web Logic/Tomcat/Cloud platforms.
• API management and cloud‑based platforms and services (AWS, Google).
• Dev‑Ops tools:
  Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines.
• Test‑Driven Development practices and automation & unit testing.
• Analytical skills.
• System observability, monitoring and alerting.
• Architecture and development of large‑scale enterprise applications.
• Agile SDLC methodologies and test‑driven development.
• Experience building applications for the financial industry is a plus.

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an Engineering/Technical Lead role.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex enterprise‑grade software solutions.
