Job Description
The Aerial Guide Trainee position offers an exciting opportunity to learn the skills required to become a professional zipline guide at Adventures on the Gorge. Trainees will undergo a comprehensive training program designed to prepare them for guiding guests safely and confidently through our aerial adventure courses. Upon training success, trainees are then cleared to guide guests commercially.
Job Responsibilities- Participate in all training sessions, including safety procedures, equipment handling, and guest interaction.
- Learn and demonstrate proficiency in zipline operations, including harnessing, braking systems, and rescue techniques.
- Understand and adhere to Adventures on the Gorge safety standards and operational protocols.
- Assist experienced guides with course setup, guest orientation, and equipment checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a fun, safe experience for all participants.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude throughout training and guiding activities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services offered by Adventures on the Gorge (AOTG).
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of guests.
- Must be a knowledgeable guide for clients and provide support and reassurance.
- Ensure security of company assets and a safe work environment through daily maintenance and housekeeping.
- Work in conditions that involve exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures.
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.

Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
- Basic First Aid and CPR
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and varying weather.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in outdoor recreation or adventure activities is a plus but not required.
- Team member weight must not exceed 260 pounds for purposes of being permitted on the zipline courses.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
