Warehouse Forklift Operator

Overview

Ryder is hiring Temp-To-Perm Material Handlers in Inwood, West Virginia — offering weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment and build professional relationships across levels
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; demonstrates initiative and high level of accuracy
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work using health and safety methods; available to work flexible schedules across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
