Position: 92F Petroleum Supply Specialist
Location: Kingwood

Job Description

Fuel is one of the most vital components of the Army National Guard. As a Petroleum Supply Specialist you will ensure proper handling, storage, and shipment of petroleum-based products such as oil, fuel, and compressed gas.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum products.
  • Operate specialized pumping equipment to load trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft.
  • Select and submit samples of petroleum products for testing and perform petroleum and water accounting activities.
  • Test petroleum samples for contamination, repair specialized equipment, and follow facility safety procedures and storage guidelines.
  • Assume management duties as an Advanced Petroleum Supply Specialist: supervise and train soldiers, assign duties, spot-check work quality, and enforce safety procedures.
Job Duties
  • Receive and stock bulk and packaged products.
  • Issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units.
  • Plan and schedule petroleum transport.
  • Operate airplane refueling systems and equipment.
  • Test oil and fuels for quality.
Training & Development

You will develop skills and experience that support civilian careers with oil refineries, pipeline companies, and tanker and ship lines.

Requirements
  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
  • Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
  • Must meet citizenship requirements.
