Job Description
Fuel is one of the most vital components of the Army National Guard. As a Petroleum Supply Specialist you will ensure proper handling, storage, and shipment of petroleum-based products such as oil, fuel, and compressed gas.
Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum products.
- Operate specialized pumping equipment to load trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft.
- Select and submit samples of petroleum products for testing and perform petroleum and water accounting activities.
- Test petroleum samples for contamination, repair specialized equipment, and follow facility safety procedures and storage guidelines.
- Assume management duties as an Advanced Petroleum Supply Specialist: supervise and train soldiers, assign duties, spot-check work quality, and enforce safety procedures.
- Receive and stock bulk and packaged products.
- Issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units.
- Plan and schedule petroleum transport.
- Operate airplane refueling systems and equipment.
- Test oil and fuels for quality.
You will develop skills and experience that support civilian careers with oil refineries, pipeline companies, and tanker and ship lines.

- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
