Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Rail Switching Technicians in Belle, WV to support daily rail operations at industrial facilities. This is a full-time, outdoor, hands-on role critical to keeping railcars moving safely and efficiently.

Learn more lserve.comJob Description In this role, you’ll work as part of a team to move, organize, and secure railcars, supporting customer operations and ensuring every move is performed with precision and care.

Schedule:
8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 6am to 2pm, with some occasional overtime
Compensation:$18.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Duties Assist with moving and securing railcars
Operate switches, gates, and hand brakes
Connect and disconnect railcars
Guide locomotives using radio or hand signals
Monitor track conditions and identify hazards
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPEPerform additional duties to support safe rail operations
Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to lift, carry, and handle equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
Climb on and off railcars, ladders, and platforms
Ability to wear required PPE without restriction
Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
Reliable transportation and strong attendance
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Military experience and experience following detailed procedures is a plus
