Job DescriptionPerform an array of warehouse functions including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing, shipping, validating shipping orders, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse and cold room, and keeping the work environment clean and orderly. May also assist in assembling and labeling medical diagnostic reagent kits to meet customer demands.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise.
- Validate materials received and enter data into the MRP system.
- Help manage cold storage materials by keeping refrigerators organized and reagent kits properly stored.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and work orders; pull materials; pack boxes; place orders in the delivery area.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards.
- Open and tear down crates, pallets, and other containers as needed.
- Maintain inventory controls by recording stock location orders and amounts received or distributed; assist in physical inventory counts as needed.
- Prepare parcels for shipping and oversee quantity and part number validation of materials packaged for shipment.
- Assist Logistics and Warehouse management in tracking KPIs for warehouse and logistics performance.
- Assemble reagent kits under supervision in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations; wear proper safety equipment.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of previous work experience in a similar position preferred but not required.
- Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with internet browsers and shipping portals (Fed Ex/UPS/DHL).
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems; willingness to learn other software programs as needed.
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work on various tasks to meet Operations requirements.
- Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations (cGMP) and International Standards (ISO) - relevant to medical devices.
- Oral and written communication skills; professionalism when working with coworkers and managers; ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
- Adherence to corporate policies including attendance and punctuality requirements.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions; handle standardized situations.
- Ability to perform basic math and operate in English, including reading and comprehension of simple instructions and safety rules; ability to communicate effectively with employees.
- Scales, hand tools, power drills, basic office equipment, and other standard warehouse tools.
The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions. Regular standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional climbing or balancing. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and ability to adjust focus. May work near moving mechanical parts, and occasionally near blood borne pathogens or hazardous materials. Must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to moderate noise levels.
