Job Summary
Performs warehouse tasks within the Owens & Minor Distribution Center, primarily utilizing Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit‑down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes shipments. Performs bin replenishment and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on‑time within company standards.
CoreResponsibilities
- Operate various MHE and follow SOPs to complete assigned tasks in receiving, put away, replenishment, bulk picking, LUM picking, sortation, and loading.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Follow safety policies and procedures and correct or communicate hazards to management.
- Use knowledge of DC and shift KPIs; meet LPH goals to support On‑Time Delivery, Shipping Accuracy, Overtime, and Productivity KPIs.
- Set an example through actions and job knowledge to motivate peers to meet DC KPIs.
- Suggest innovative ways to improve shift processes and working conditions to increase efficiency of the warehouse.
- Effectively communicate with peers.
- Be available to work varying shifts as needed to include weekends, evenings, and OT to meet DC goals; may be asked to consider SWAT assignments.
- Assist in training new teammates, provide SME level knowledge of processes.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent or 1 Year of Warehouse Experience.
- Experience with cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit‑down or stand‑up forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.; strongly preferred.
- Proven dedication to safety.
- Attention to detail.
- Learning and adaptability.
- Self‑motivated.
- RF Scanners, Jennifer voice pick equipment, safety knives, printers, and computers.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 25 pounds.
Monday - Friday - 8am - 4:30pm plus mandatory overtime when needed.
Pay$19.80.
