Cost Accountant
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per hour
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our dynamic engineering team. This position is integral to our financial planning and decision‑making processes. As a Cost Accountant, you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to our company’s financial strategy and direction. Your main responsibilities will include analyzing our manufacturing costs, compiling cost reports, and preparing budget forecasts.

- Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular cost reports.
- Creating and reviewing the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
- Conducting physical counts of inventory and reconciling floor counts and inventory records.
- Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Assisting in month‑end close of the General Ledger.
- Conducting audits of costs and preparing reports.
- Implementing a comprehensive cycle‑counting program to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Maintaining the Cost Accounting System.
- Coordinating with the IT department for system issues, maintenance and development.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
