What we need:Natco is seeking an Import Merchandise Specialist to join our Floor Coverings Product Management team based out of our West Warwick, RI corporate headquarters. In this role, you will manage an assigned customer account and oversee imported product programs from setup through delivery. Working closely with the customer, suppliers, and internal teams, you'll ensure accurate product information, timely order execution, compliance with requirements, and exceptional customer service.
You’ll support the sales reps with maintaining customer portal information and quote-related activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship management, project coordination, and keeping multiple moving pieces on track in a fast-paced environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned customer account, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional service
- Manage product programs from initial setup through delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer requirements, including supplier purchase order management
- Support customer quoting activities, manage customer portal information, and maintain product data and account documentation, including SKUs, pricing, specifications, and supplier information
- Coordinate with the customer, suppliers, and internal teams on artwork approvals, product revisions, packaging requirements, labeling, and sample requests
- Partner with the Compliance team to ensure all testing, certification, and regulatory requirements are completed prior to shipment
- Review and proofread artwork, packaging, promotional materials, product images, and related documentation for accuracy and customer approval
- Gather, verify, and communicate critical product and order information to support successful execution of customer programs
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Floor Product Manager
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, communications, merchandising, marketing, or related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience
- Prior experience in account management, merchandising, customer service, product coordination, or a similar role preferred
- Experience working with imported products, supplier management, retail accounts, or product management preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) is required;
SharePoint experience is preferred - Experience with ERP / item management systems preferred
- Experience working with customer portals is a plus
- Building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service
- Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Staying organized and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Maintaining accurate product, customer, and purchase order information with strong attention to detail
- Analyzing information, solving problems, and making sound decisions
- Working well independently while collaborating with other teams
- Taking initiative, anticipating needs, and following projects through to completion
