Department: Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability
Reports to:Director of EHSS
Job Function: The EHSS Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating Bradford Soap’s environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs. This role works closely with the Director of EHSS to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, foster a safe and healthy workplace, minimize environmental impact, and promote sustainable practices to deliver value to Bradford Soap’s employees, community, and clients.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance- Monitor and coordinate compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, state and local agencies).
- Track changes to applicable EHS regulations and implement necessary policy or procedural updates.
- Prepare and submit required reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory agencies.
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and updates of environmental compliance programs and permits, including air quality, wastewater, stormwater pollution prevention, spill prevention, and emergency response planning.
- Manage waste disposal, recycling programs, and hazardous material handling in compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Support development of new safety and environmental programs as needed.
- Coordinate risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace risks.
- Ensure required training programs are developed, delivered, and maintained, including environmental, health, safety, and emergency response training.
- Maintain accurate records of safety and environmental inspections, audits, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and ensure appropriate documentation for compliance and legal purposes.
- Recommend and support initiatives for continuous improvement in EHSS practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an environmental, health, and/or safety role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (minimal travel required).
