Description

Our client, a successful title & escrow company, is seeking an Attorney to join their dynamic legal team in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in real estate law and a strong drive to expand the firm's business through exceptional client relations.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to both commercial and residential real estate matters.

West Warwick, RI

Schedule:

Hybrid (2 or 3 days in office)

Salary: $75,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience) + commission off of new business if you don't already have a book of business

Responsibilities:

+ Focus on getting new business for the company.

+ Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of real estate matters, including residential, commercial, SFR, and bulk transactions.

+ Develop and maintain a strong book of business through proactive business development efforts, networking, and marketing initiatives.

+ Manage real estate transactions from inception to closing, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary legal documentation.

+ Represent clients in negotiations, disputes, and mediations, safeguarding their interests and providing strategic guidance.

+ Collaborate with internal teams and other departments to deliver integrated legal services to clients.

+ Stay current with legal developments and trends in real estate law, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and client satisfaction.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing real estate law, with a proven track record of managing a book of business or a strong willingness and ability to engage in business development activities.

+ Commercial and residential experience, one or both

+ Prefer a book of business, but need to want to grow a business

+ Must be barred in Rhode Island or MA or CT, MA/CT are a benefit - can get waived in later after hire

+ J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing with the Rhode Island Bar. Other State Bar admissions are a plus.

+ Extensive knowledge of real estate transactions, property law, contracts, and finance, with excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships and work collaboratively with internal teams.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting client needs.
