Our client is a well-established higher education organization that is looking to add a Senior Grants Accountant
. This organization is looking for someone professional who can work on a team just as effectively as they can work independently. Grant accounting experience is required, and nonprofit and government accounting experience is a plus.
$35/hr - $40/hr
Position Overview:Applicants must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with nonprofit general accounting and grant accounting.
Responsibilities of the Senior Grants Accountant:- Perform matching, batching, coding, and entering of invoices.
- Manage grant accounting activities and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues with customers and vendors.
- Update and reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
- Support nonprofit and government accounting functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Experience with ERP software.
- Experience with nonprofit and government accounting software.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Atrium Care Package available, upon eligibility (including healthcare plans, discount programs, and paid time off).
