Summer Field Trip Camp Teacher

APPLY NOW TO BECOME A ROCKETEER! "We think we’re preparing kids for tomorrow. Kids just think it’s cool!" We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual to work as an outdoor and field trip instructor with our NJ based day camps.

• Summer seasonal position (4-8 weeks)
• Curriculum and materials are provided
• Learn fun science activities to bring back to your students during the school year
• Spend the summer with our amazing students having fun at camp

• Fishing, archaeology, geology, marine biology, and environmental science

• Ability to travel to Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ and to multiple central NJ sites (one site per week), Monday‑Friday
• Teaching or student teaching experience in K‑12 schools strongly preferred
• Experience with children in a camp or educational setting
• Experience with children ages 7‑14
• Must be comfortable leading a group of up to 15 students independently through hands‑on activities across multiple domains
• Ability to manage and organize equipment and materials, including paid prep time before and after classes
• Rate: $20/hr – $25/hr (up to $28/hr for certain locations)

Black Rocket provides unique educational programs to children and young adults. Each camp emphasizes self‑empowerment, critical thinking, and creative problem solving through hands‑on learning. We begin recruiting for summer in January and positions are filled on a rolling basis.
