Adjunct Faculty, Biology – General Microbiology

Location:

West Windsor and Trenton

• Teach classroom lecture-style instruction, using technology such as automated presentations, computer-generated slides, videos, and the college online interface.
• Assess student progress and success in the classroom and with individual course assignments.
• Advise students and mentor through individual and group interactions.
• Provide hands‑on lab instruction and supervision.
• Calculate and submit final course grades by the semester deadline.
• Conduct staff and support office hours for student consultation and tutoring.
• Deliver course content in person, online, or hybrid formats as required.
• Comply with current college policy regarding COVID masking, vaccinations, and weekly testing.
• Participate in required adjunct duties.
• Teach BIO
  201 General Microbiology lectures and/or laboratories during the day, evenings, and weekends.

• Master's of Science degree in Biology.
• College‑level experience teaching microbiology, both lectures and laboratories.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
• Experience teaching both in‑person and online courses.
• Demonstrated instructional experience and dedication to student success.
• Commitment to serving a diverse student population spanning academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Knowledge and experience with Blackboard Learning Management System or similar platforms.

Compensation:
Salary based on instructional hours taught in the semester.
