Position Title: Home Instruction Teacher

Position Type: Part-Time / Hourly (As Needed)

Compensation: $50.00 per hour (Contractual Rate)

Bargaining Unit: WWPEA

Position Overview

The district is seeking qualified educators to serve as a Home Instruction Teachers. This position provides direct, one-on-one in-person instruction to an out-of-school student to ensure educational continuity during a period of homebound status.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver home instruction aligned with district curriculum standards and coursework goals.
• Coordinate with district staff and subject-area teachers to obtain curriculum materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Maintain precise records of instructional hours, student attendance, and academic progress.
• Submit required home instruction logs and paperwork in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate.
• Successful completion of the district substitute/Board of Education approval process prior to beginning the assignment.
• Compliance with state post-retirement employment rules (if applicable):
  • WW-P Retirees: Must meet the mandatory 180-day separation (Bonafide Severance) from employment requirement prior to the start of the assignment.
  • Other NJ District Retirees: Must meet the mandatory 30-day separation from employment requirement.

• Bachelor degree preferred.
