Fire Academy- EMT- Instructor Aide, Part Time

EMT Instructor Aides to serve an apprenticeship with the respective training agency, provide appropriate instruction under the supervision of a Department of Health and Senior Services,  Office of Emergency Medical Services approved EMT-B instructor, attend and participate in all aspects of EMT Basic training, and assist in maintaining continuity for the training program.  The EMT
- Instructor Aide works towards gaining certification as an EMT Instructor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide appropriate instruction under the supervision of a New Jersey Certified EMT Instructor.

* Assist and support New Jersey Certified EMT Instructor with class session, pre-class setup and breakdown.

* Assist students with practical skills.

* Assist students with their questions and provided any needed direction and follow up.

* Work towards certification as a New Jersey EMT Instructor.

* EMT Instructor Aides to serve an apprenticeship with the respective training agency,

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Three years EMT Basic or Paramedic  or equivalent medical experience.

* One year pre-hospital experience as an EMT
- Basic or Paramedic. New Jersey certified EMT Basic or Paramedic.

* Healthcare Provider CPR.
