Drives bus to transport passengers safely over specified routes according to time schedule by performing the following duties.

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or/training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess a valid NJ Class B CDL, driver's license with a P (passenger) and S (safety) endorsement. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other staff members.

Essential Duties: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The require4ments listed below are representative of this knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accomdations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Must submit to random drug testing
• Must perform a safety inspection of the bus before driving.
• Must maintain state requried mileage and check off sheets for each bus driven.
• Must report mechanical problems on requried forms promptly.
• Must maintain at least half a tank of fuel at all times.
• Must report accidents immediately.
• If in an accident, must be able to take appropriate action to safely remove students fromthe emergency exit.
• Must be punctual on routes and/or field and athletic trips.
• Must be clean and neat in appearance at all times
• Must be patient wtih traffic conditions, students and parents.
• Must maintain student discipline on the bus at all times, reporting incidents on forms provided if incidents continue
• Shall regulate heating, lighting and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
• Any and all duties essential to performing the duties of a bus driver.
• Shall comply with all rules and regulations of the NJ Department of Education, the WWP Board of Education, and the WWP Service Association.
