Role and Scope of PositionThis position provides small commercial and residential developments that are not strategic customers with a coordinated point of contact for all customer issues related to gas distribution services. The role also contributes to the Company by improving customer satisfaction, retaining and growing profitable distribution and value-added service revenue. It supports the Gas Operations business objectives by increasing the number of new gas customers and providing a more seamless end-to-end sale and service experience for our gas customers.
Responsibilities- New Customer Connections – ensure timely installation of new or upgraded utility services and provide related load and revenue estimates for customers requesting loads under 1000 MCF annually for defined customer segments.
- Corporate Positioning – assist with developing and implementing strategies for achieving corporate objectives with the small account customer base, such as customer education, identifying rate changes, or promoting energy efficiency programs.
- Customer Service – assist with enforcing customer service policies, coordinating installation of new or upgraded utility service, following up on reliability or service quality problems, handling various administrative functions, billing-related issues, and general customer inquiries.
- Revenue Cycle – assist with collection of contributions in aid to construction, deposit monies, and customer information necessary to establish new or upgraded service for strategic account customers.
- Assist with promoting new technologies to align with Eversource’s net zero targets and provide solutions for new business opportunities that result in profitable, incremental gross margin to achieve targeted financial and growth objectives.
- Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), strong interpersonal skills, ability to use personal computers, tablets and desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and Salesforce). - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, related discipline or equivalent experience. - Experience:
0 to 3 years of gas operations or equivalent experience. - Licenses &
Certifications:
None.
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants may be subject to pre-assignment and random drug testing. A positive drug test will result in disciplinary action.

- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with experience and this position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range is $85,930.00–$95,480.00.
