seek a dynamic Bus Monitor to travel to and from

Hastings Elementary School every school day

Up to a Maximum of 7.5 hours per week

for the 2026/2027 School Year- INTERNAL ONLY

Reports to: School Principal and Student Services Coordinator

Work year: School year

Compensation: $30 per hour, non-union

Job Summary:

Provide daily direct student support on the school bus traveling to and from Hastings Elementary School daily.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a public school district and with special needs studentsstrongly preferred
• CORI, SORI and Fingerprinting: All appointments are conditional based on a satisfactory CORI, SORI and SAFIS Background Check per 603 CMR 51.00.

CENTRAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB(MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• Ride with student on daily transportation between home and school
• Schedule aligns with school calendar and dismissal times
• Provide direct monitoring of student for safety and appropriate bus behavior
• Position is for morning and afternoon transport (open to splitting between 2 people)

Work Schedule:

Morning Route
-Monday-Friday

8:00-8:45 (up to45minutes)

Afternoon Route
-Monday-Friday

3:0-3:45 (up to 45minutes)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The bus monitor does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
