We are seeking a Process Engineering Technician to contribute to the internal manufacturing of robotic systems. This role involves working within a dynamic team to apply advances in robotics and software. The position offers an opportunity to work in an innovative environment, supporting the production and maintenance of cutting‑edge technology.
Key Responsibilities- Act as an ambassador for safety and promote safe work practices.
- Perform duties under the supervision of a project manager or engineer.
- Serve as a technical consultant for capital projects within the process engineering team.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing systems, including automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and packaging machines.
- Maintain and troubleshoot controls components such as sensors, scanners, motor starters, relays, and servo drives.
- Utilize diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes for troubleshooting.
- Work with PLCs and PLC programs, including troubleshooting ladder logic.
- Develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Work from schematics and engineering drawings to create process documents and work instructions.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing, R&D, or facility equipment is required. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems for robotic and other machinery.
Technical
Skills:
A solid foundational knowledge of PLC‑based controls systems, with a preference for Allen Bradley/Rockwell, is necessary. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency using machine shop equipment and hand‑held power tools for basic to intermediate fabrications and modifications. Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and Microsoft Office, is also required.

Skills:
The role requires the ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and document startup processes for production equipment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The position requires physical dexterity to climb ladders and lift up to 35 lbs.
- 10 years of work experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Formal trade qualification or a current electrical contractor license.
- Robotic programming experience (, Fanuc, ABB, Kuka).
- Fabrication and machining experience in a development environment.
- Experience troubleshooting based on CAD files (, Solidworks, AutoCAD).
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and modify PLC/PC controllers and motor control systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools, including 5S and Kaizen.
- Experience using systems for data collection and Quality Control.
