Sr Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Westborough, Massachusetts.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Controller, gaining comprehensive experience across accounting and financial planning functions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and performing consolidations.

- Analyze monthly financial variances and generate accurate reports for management review.

- Support budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

- Perform cash flow reporting and analysis to maintain financial stability and predict future needs.

- Provide backup support for payroll processing and related tasks.

- Participate in corporate tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with regulations.

- Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.

- Contribute to the annual physical inventory process and reconcile related accounts.

- Collaborate on corporate consolidation efforts to streamline financial reporting.

- Work on ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Controller.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.

- Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial variance analysis.

- Familiarity with corporate tax processes and compliance regulations.

- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.

- Ability to support payroll processing and related functions.

- Interest in developing attention to detail and a commitment to learning from the Controller.
