Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Cumberland Farms, Inc. seeks a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for its regional convenience store and fuel network. In this role, you will build and maintain financial models, analyze sales, margin, and operating expenses, and deliver insights that support strategic and operational decisions in a high-volume retail environment. You will partner with merchandising, operations, and fuel teams to evaluate initiatives, optimize profitability, and manage capital investments.

The role includes preparing executive presentations, improving FP&A processes and tools, and mentoring junior analysts in a fast-paced, team oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for retail and fuel operations
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate sales, margin, and operating expense performance
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports and executive presentations
• Analyze store, category, and fuel performance to identify risks, opportunities, and profit drivers
• Partner with operations, merchandising, and fuel teams to evaluate initiatives and capital investments
• Support pricing, promotion, and assortment decisions with data-driven financial analysis
• Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and data quality to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Own variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior year, explaining key drivers
• Provide decision support for new store openings, remodels, and strategic projects
• Mentor and guide junior analysts, promoting a collaborative, customer-focused culture
