Setting: Pediatric Outpatient Clinic

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a growing pediatric outpatient team in Westborough, MA. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a family-centered, play-based environment providing one-on-one therapy services to children with developmental, sensory, and motor challenges.

The clinic serves children ages 2-12 with conditions including autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, developmental delays, and fine motor deficits. This position offers flexible scheduling, mentorship, and a collaborative team environment dedicated to helping children achieve their fullest potential.

Schedule
  • Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Weekday afternoons and/or weekends
  • Minimum 10 hours per week; up to 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-on-one occupational therapy treatment sessions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
  • Implement individualized treatment plans focusing on:
    • Sensory integration
    • Fine motor development
    • Visual-motor integration
    • Self-care and ADL skills
    • Play and functional development
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Educate and communicate with parents and caregivers regarding home exercise programs and treatment progress.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in team meetings, care planning, and family education sessions.

Qualifications Required
  • Active Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Preferred
  • Previous pediatric outpatient experience
  • Passion for working with children and families
