Digital Solutions Executive Director - Health Systems Solutions

Overview

The Digital Solutions Executive Director for Health Systems Solutions (HSS) serves as the primary IT leader for For Health Consulting Digital Solutions, providing strategic and operational leadership across the full HSS solution set. Reporting to the Managing Director of Digital Solutions, the DS ED acts as a trusted technology advisor to the HSS Managing Director and leadership team. This role drives IT strategy, leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver highly effective and scalable solutions, and oversees all operational support for HSS digital capabilities.

The HSS IT Leader collaborates with enterprise partners to align technology initiatives with business goals and delivers measurable value.

As the key IT partner for HSS, this leader drives technology initiatives, aligns IT resources and projects with business priorities, and ensures enterprise standards are met while delivering high-value solutions. The HSS DS ED manages a multi-disciplinary IT team and oversees all HSS IT activities and resources in alignment with Digital Solutions leadership and strategy.

• Define and drive the business unit's IT strategy to align technology with business objectives, service excellence, internal client experience, and operational performance.
• Develop and execute an annual technology plan and goals for assigned areas, securing executive leadership approval in alignment with For Health Consulting's IT Roadmap and overall goals, priorities, and strategy.
• Manage and oversee the effective execution of IT services and projects with a focus on scope, schedule, budget, quality, successful outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Identify and champion digital transformation initiatives that enhance business workflows, data integration, and coordination of services to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and create a competitive advantage.
• Advise leadership on technology investments, innovation opportunities, and performance metrics.
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of applications and tools used by clients and business units, ensuring projects are on time and meet deliverables and client expectations.
• Deliver realistic, well-defined, and accurately scoped proposals for new projects, upgrades, enhancements, and system maintenance.
• Develop a collaborative relationship with the Digital Solutions Executive Director for HSS and the broader Digital Solutions team to identify, design, and implement technology enhancements focused on driving operational efficiency and improvements in user and client experience.
• Develop strong partnership with Business Intelligence to develop reporting and analytics capabilities that support services delivered by the assigned business units.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Shared Solutions teams to manage application life cycles, including the development of an annual workplan prioritizing applications approaching end-of-life or needing modernization.
• Collaborate with the Security Architect to ensure alignment on security standards and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and interoperability standards and adherence to enterprise standards, architecture, privacy, and security in all HSS IT activities.
• Lead and manage the HSS IT solution set team, providing daily oversight and management to achieve goals, deliverables, and objectives.
• Support all HSS IT needs including strategy, planning, budgeting, design, development, implementation, and operations support.
• Support business development and client relationship management, representing Digital Solutions and HSS in sales opportunities, proposals, client meetings, discussions, and projects.
• Act as the advocate for the business unit within IT planning, governance, and budgeting processes.
• Oversee and manage the HSS IT budget, including resource allocation, forecasting, and financial management; direct IT budget and resource management for the HSS business unit, including time tracking for project-level needs, vendor and development partner management, and surge staffing coordination.
• Establish and prioritize sub-teams as needed, in partnership with HSS and Digital Solutions leadership, to focus on high-impact initiatives.
• Work with the Shared Solutions team to leverage common platforms, ensure integration, and promote standardization where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the Digital Solutions architecture/capture team to identify, select, design, and deliver scalable solutions for HSS for new business opportunities and to maintain and enhance the full portfolio of solutions supporting the business.
• Manage external solution partners, including UMass Chan IT and staff augmentation resources partners for approved projects.
• Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for effective operation and security of HSS IT systems.
