Business Intelligence Engineer - Business Intelligence Engineer I

Compensation: $37 - $47 Hourly
Role Overview
This position supports the Technical Support team by translating complex customer and operational data into actionable insights and reports. The role involves building scalable data pipelines, designing operations and performance dashboards, and developing analytics applications to optimize ticketing workflows and improve the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, transform, and load data from various ticketing platforms into centralized data warehouses.
- Design and maintain scalable data schemas and multi-dimensional databases for self-service analytics.
- Develop real-time dashboards and automated reports to track operational KPIs, including SLAs and ticket resolution rates.
- Translate business requirements from support leadership into clear, technical specifications for data visualization and reporting.
- Augment and accelerate data pipeline and new dashboarding work for various internal dashboards and risk registers.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a highly analytical technical support role is required.
Technical
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and complex performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud-based data ecosystems such as AWS Redshift.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python and R for data extraction and automation.
- Experience with dashboarding tools, specifically Quik Suite.
