This position provides support for small commercial and residential developments that are not strategic customers, serving as a coordinated point of contact for all customer issues related to gas distribution services. The role supports the company by improving customer satisfaction, retaining and growing profitable distribution and value‑added service revenue. The position assists gas operations business objectives by increasing the number of new gas customers and delivering a seamless “end to end” sale and service experience for our gas customers.
EssentialFunctions
- Under guidance of the supervision team, manage customer relationships and develop relationships within the assigned customer segment (small commercial and residential developments).
- New Customer Connections: ensure timely installation of new or upgraded utility services and accurately provide related load and revenue estimates for customers requesting loads of under 1000 MCF annually and under.
- Corporate Positioning: assist with developing and implementing strategies for achieving corporate objectives with the small account customer base, such as customer education, identifying rate changes, or promoting energy‑efficiency programs.
- Customer Service: enforce customer service policies, coordinate installation of new or upgraded utility services, follow up on reliability or service‑quality problems, handle various administrative functions, billing‑related issues and general customer inquiries.
- Revenue Cycle: collect contributions in aid to construction, deposit monies and customer information necessary to establish a new or upgraded service for strategic account customers.
- Promote new technologies to align with Eversource’s net‑zero targets.
- Assist with providing solutions for all new business opportunities that result in profitable, incremental gross margin to achieve targeted financial and growth objectives.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

- Ability to use personal computers, tablets, and desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of gas operations or equivalent experience.

- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- This position is categorized as safety‑sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre‑assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non‑safety‑sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing. A positive drug test will result in disciplinary action.

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is $85,930.00 – $95,480.00.

Emergency ResponseResponding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an emergency restoration assignment.
