Infusion Nurse; Westborough, MA)

We are opening a new location in Westborough
, MA and are looking for an exceptional nurse with both excellent clinical skills and interpersonal skills. Infusion related experience is not required; however, the candidate must be proficient at placing peripheral IV catheters. Experience accessing ports is a plus but not required.
This position will be part-time 1-2 days/week, 8a-4:30p.

• Complete general patient assessment and obtain vital signs
• Establish IV access per policy
• Prepare, administer and document infusions/injections per order from the physician
• Monitor for infusion related reactions. Follow infusion reaction protocol and notify physicians if any concerns for infusion related reactions
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatments and associated side effects
• Open and close infusion suite using daily log, ensuring proper cleanliness, sterilization and infection control
• Send follow up to ordering physicians regarding patient's status and infusion experience
• Assist medical assistant in managing and maintaining adequate supply and medication inventory
• Schedule patients for follow up appointments

• Registered Nurse with current MA license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
