Category Manager, Commissary

As a Category Manager, Commissary at cumberlandfarmsinc, you will own the strategy, performance, and growth of in-store prepared foods and packaged commissary items across Cumberland Farms' regional network. You will analyze sales, margin, and customer trends to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions, partnering with merchandising, operations, and marketing to drive traffic and basket size. Key duties include vendor selection and negotiation, forecasting and inventory planning, and ensuring products align with brand, food safety, and quality standards.

You'll collaborate closely with store teams to execute programs and continuously refine offers based on data and guest feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissary category strategies to drive sales, margin, and traffic
• Analyze sales, margin, and customer data to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions
• Select, negotiate, and manage vendor and supplier relationships
• Forecast demand and partner with supply chain on inventory planning and replenishment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and brand standards for commissary items
• Collaborate with marketing on promotional plans and in-store merchandising
• Partner with store operations to support execution of commissary programs and planograms
• Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities
• Prepare performance reports and recommendations for leadership
• Support new product development, testing, and rollouts across the network
